THE TEAM
SPC was formed in 2003 and is widely recognised as one of the foremost scenario paintball teams in the UK. In February 2006 SPC launched ukscenario.com which unlike other players’ forums focusses solely on the scenario and big game side of paintball.
Name: Alan Murray
Alan is the team captain and likes to lead from the front. He’s been around for a while and has fired a few shots.
Name: Ryan McConachie
As vice captain and general butt of most jokes Ryan is a key figure in the team. He could however do with a few hearty meals as he’s a bit on the scrawny side.
Name: Simon Edgar
Simon is one of the grizzled veterans in the team and a man of few words but what he lacks in conversation he more than makes up for with commitment. Simon is a well known figure on the scenario circuit and if there’s a game on then you can be sure he will be there.
Name: Ross Duke
It is generally accepted that Ross has some American blood in his ancestry as his approach to paintball is very much “one pod one kill”and can usually be relied upon to use 150 balls when 5 would do just fine.
Name: Doug Bryden
Doug is a larger than life character and a force to be reckoned with at the dinner table. As aggressive in attack as he is solid in defence Doug is the backbone of the team.
Name: Mike Bissel
Mike is the team fixer and is never happier than when he’s tinkering around with markers, accessories or equipment. On the field he’s absolutely dependable and all in all he’s pretty useful to have around.
Name: Andy Coulter
The 2006 UK Scenario Player of the Year, Andy would be the first to admit that he takes his paintball very seriously and no doubt even his underwear would be camouflaged if he ever bothered to wear any.
Name: Dunstan Nathan
Dunstan is the team’s devil’s advocate and can always be relied upon to speak his mind. As a GP he is also the team medic by default, although at times his bedside manner could do with some work. Exactly what Dunstan’s patients would think about how he spends his free time remains a mystery.
Events
SPC is totally committed to scenario paintball and has consistently maintained a presence at every UK scenario game and big game since the team entered the scenario scene in late 2003 whilst also attending numerous other high profile events.
Bodcam
Bodcam is the brainchild of Simon Edgar and consists of a mask mounted camera which captures in game video footage of the team at various scenario events.
